YogaKids® 4-Week Sessions
March 4 - 25, 2012 (See Workshops to Register)
Separate classes are held for children ages 4 - 6 and ages 7 - 10. At its most fundamental, the YogaKids® program is about learning. Children naturally respond to learning that is presented in interesting, fun and integrative ways. YogaKids® incorporates the two processes that kids respond to best: sound and movement while using the body as the main component of education. Using traditional yoga poses, breathing techniques, and relaxation through music, storytelling and more, these classes will foster strength, coordination, flexibility, and self-control. Students will assume the shapes of various animals and plants while exploring areas such as kindness, peace, inner strength and empathy. YogaKids® Grows Up ~ Empowering Young Girls Through Yoga and Wellness
March 18, 2012 (See Workshops to Register)
This is a class designed exclusively for 11 - 13 year old girls. Whether they struggle with stress from school, peer pressure, divorce or just day to day life, the greatest gift we can give them are tools to help tap into their innate sense of inner strength, self-worth, and peace. During these sessions the instructor will go over basic asanas and breathing techniques and teach the student ways to feel both invigorated and relaxed. Students will begin to recognize when their bodies need each.
Family Yoga Workshop
TBA (See Workshops to Register)
Moms, Dads, Grandparents, grab your favorite little Yogi (aged 6-10) and find out what makes YogaKids playful, interactive and so much fun! Fitness, family time and finding a chance to relax can be a challenge, so in our family yoga class, we’ve rolled them all into one…
This workshop is for one adult and one child who want to learn how to “play yoga” together. We will go over techniques for quieting the mind and energizing the body. This will help cultivate bonding, flexibility and feeling great while creating a space where families can connect with each other and their community.
