Meet Yoga Teacher Boo Geisse
Boo Geisse completed her 200 hours in 2015 through Chagrin Yoga. In addition to YTT, Boo has completed the Art of Assisting program, a weekend immersion with Bryan Kest, and a three-day study of the yamas and niyamas with Deborah Adele, whose definitive book served as the inspiration and structure for Boo’s master’s thesis.
Boo’s teachers include Krysti Lyn, Jan Hauenstein, Polly Manke, Christie Gascoigne, Amy Schneider, Ted Lardner, Tami Schneider, Parker Bean, and the communities of the many wonderful studios she has been a part of in Cleveland.

What gives you peace?:
I am a fraction of who I am when I’m not practicing yoga.
Three words to describe you:
Sassy, sensitive, grammar snob (that counts as one word)
Favorite yoga pose and why:
Flip dog and wheel because they are full front-body openers– complete vulnerability. I also love plow pose and deaf man’s. They’re the inverse of heart openers—total compression of the front-body in order to lengthen the spine.
Words to describe your teaching style:
Slow, intense, intentional, mindful.
Word to live by:
“You do not have to be good… You only have to let the soft animal of your body love what it loves.” – from “Wild Geese” by Mary Oliver
Best advice I ever received:
