"Educating others about mindfulness and yoga has been the greatest gift of my life," Halley says. "It never gets old witnessing an ‘aha’ moment in the eyes of a 6-year-old or an 86-year-old. I just love teaching!"
Halley's mission is simple: to bring peace of mind, confidence, and health to as many people as possible.
Growing up as a dancer and cheerleader, Halley discovered yoga over 30 years ago and found it to be a deeply transformative way to express herself. In 2007, she completed her 200-hour teacher training with Tami Schneider and never looked back. Since then, she has balanced a dedicated teaching career with a beautiful family life with her husband and children, Elle and Josh, while remaining fiercely committed to her own personal growth.
My first and greatest inspiration is my mom, who went back to school in her 50s to get her master’s degree and become a therapist. She is a constant reminder that it is never too late for personal, mental, or physical growth.
When it comes to yoga, I have been blessed with incredible mentors:
Tami Schneider taught me how to truly teach rather than just guide, showing me how to command a room and speak with precision. It completely changed my life and built my confidence.
Lissa Farkas, a Baptiste teacher who is an absolute powerhouse, models strength, directness, and fierce devotion to her community.
Missy Laurence, my dear friend and fellow teacher, constantly reminds me of the true heart of yoga through our deep conversations and friendship.
Why CY?
I have been practicing at CY for almost 20 years. I am a student first, and this studio is my home. I love the teachers, the sacred space, and the incredible commitment of everyone who walks through these doors.
In Baptiste Yoga, shared success is captured in the core community principles: "Be for others" and "Understand That the Whole Is the Goal." This means that individual breakthroughs and success are deeply connected to the elevation of the entire collective—and CY teachers deliver on that promise every single day.
