Myofacial
Release
Workshop

Are you feeling tense and tight?  It's time for release! In this workshop, we will explore ways to unravel tension in your tissues to prepare for deeper work in your practice and your life.

​

Myofascial release is a therapy for the treatment of skeletal muscle immobility and pain. This type of therapy aims to relax muscles and improve blood and lymphatic circulation. By manipulating the myofascia, (the dense connective tissue that surrounds and covers all your muscles and bones) physical and energetic constrictions are released, opening areas that may feel stuck or tense. This workshop will incorporate myofascial release & yin yoga focusing on the shoulders, chest, back and hips. You will leave with a simple but effective knowledge of myofascial release that you can apply on your own at home.

This workshop is focused on release and will not include a vinyasa flow. It would pair nicely with the 11:15 a.m. class.  This workshop is open to anyone, but is especially beneficial for runners, bikers, and office workers.

Mastered the basics and looking to level-up your Power Yoga knowledge? This one’s for you!

 

Foundations 2.0 expands on your knowledge of the basic Power Yoga poses and better prepares you for some of the intermediate and advanced poses that you may encounter in class.

 

Through demonstration, practice and inquiry, you will learn proper alignment and breathwork in a workshop-style class that encourages questions and leaves you better prepared to take on the following:

  • Twists (in Chair, Crescent Lunge, Low Lunge and Triangle poses)

  • Extended Side Angle (with binds)

  •  Flip Dog

  • Side Plank

  • Eagle, Half Moon and Dancers balancing poses

  • Floor Bow, Wheel and Camel backbend poses

  • Frog (with modification) hip opener pose

  • Seated Forward Fold poses
