Teacher certification:

Cleveland Yoga 200-Hour Teacher Training

Baptiste Power Yoga Institute – Teacher Trainings Level 1, 2, 3

Hometown: Beachwood, OH

How many years have you practiced yoga: Hard to say, I think my first class was around 2003

Favorite yoga pose: Downward dog

Words to live by: Be yourself - everyone else is already taken.

Why did you start practicing yoga: Tami opened Strong, Stretched and Centered! And I heard Jennifer Aniston and Gwyneth Paltrow were doing yoga, so...

Mantra or daily affirmation: Be kind.

Favorite Book: The four agreements

What informs your practice: Intuition

Your advice for beginner yogis: Jump right in like you're learning a new language - completely immerse yourself. Consistency is the key.

3 Words to Describe You: Organized, honest, fun

The pose that challenges you the most: Double pigeon

The best advice you've ever received: My dad always said "When in doubt, don't." I think it was his way of telling us to trust our gut and listen to our intuition. I think you can't go wrong if you're trusting your gut instincts.

What's your teaching style: I'd say my teaching style is consistent and well-balanced. Every class is sweaty and athletic, but the pace is manageable for all levels and it lets you land in your body and in the pose. I always focus on healthy alignment and seamless transitions. It is the right blend of yang and yin so that the practitioner leaves feeling strong, stretched, and calm.

What do you do for fun: Hang at home with my family, Travel, Wine & dine with family and friends, Spend time with people who make me laugh, Dance.

What are you most grateful for: My home team: my husband and my two girls.

What brings you peace: Those rare moments when I have my house to myself and it's completely quiet :-)

Where is your happy place: Saturday mornings when the whole family cuddles up in my bed

Who/what inspires you the most: My kids inspire me daily to be a better version of myself - to be more patient, to be kind, to be more compassionate - the list is endless.
